The Gestalt X is made to expand your horizons even further beyond roads. We extended the possibilities of the Gestalt by adding generous tire clearance, lowering the stand over, using solely one-by drivetrains, adding dropper post routing, and tuning the geometry for more adventurous riding. This is the dropbar bike for the rider looking for singletrack no matter what the occasion; the perfect bike to ride the road both to and from the trail and cut through unexplored places to find new routes. Series 3 Frame The Gestalt X features a butted and formed Series 3 6061 aluminum frame with internal routing, 142x12mm thru-axles, flat mount disc brakes, and rack and fender eyelets. Beyond Road Geometry The Gestalt X takes our Beyond Road Geometry to the next level of aggressive road and dirt exploration with a blend of endurance road handling and mountain bike sensibilities. Disc Brakes The Gestalt X features the latest flat mount disc brake standard for smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance. Tire Clearance The Gestalt X frame and fork have clearance for up to up to 700c x 45 or 650B x 47 Road Plus tires. - Series 3 aluminum frame - Full carbon fork - Shimano GRX 1x11 drivetrain - Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes - TranzX YSP38J dropper seatpost
The Headlands takes what we have learned with the alloy Gestalt X line, and brings the spirit to an all-new, full carbon fiber frameset. Modern geometry, generous tire clearance, and sublime ride quality, all combine to make an incredibly capable, lightweight bike that’ll exceed your expectations. Key upgrades over the Headlands 1: - Shimano GRX RX810 drivetrain & FSA Gossamer Pro crankset - TranzX dropper post - WTB Byway tubeless ready tires
Warroad is Salsa’s endurance all-road bike built to perform on-road while being fully capable of off-pavement pursuits. It’s the bike for riders who don’t define a road ride by the surfaces they travel. Endurance all-road geometry, Class 5 frame Vibration Reduction System, dual wheel-size compatibility with a wide range of tire fitments, and a variety of mounting options set the Warroad apart. - Carbon frame with an oversized bottom bracket junction and deeper section downtube, coupled with a 415mm chainstay to create a more responsive bike when accelerating, yet forgiving as the distance increases - Endurance all-road geometry, featuring a slack headtube angle and long offset fork to provide increased stability when the road surface turns rough - Warroad Carbon fork with 100 x 12mm thru-axle, side-mounted three-pack mounts, fender and rack compatibility - Top tube mount for Salsa EXP Direct Mount Top Tube Bag or K-Edge computer mount - Accessory mount on the underside of the down tube - Two water bottle mounts in the main triangle on 49–55cm frames, and three water bottle mounts in the main triangle on 56–61cm frames
For the construction of the Tarmac, we utilized advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and layup of our new FACT 9r carbon. 500 pieces creating 7 different sizes with the same tuned ride–that’s Rider-First Engineered. We examine every ply of carbon on every frame size to ensure that all of our performance targets come through. To make sure you get the perfect ride, every frame gets a unique layup schedule with different ply arrangements, orientations, quantities of material in specific areas, and sometimes, even exclusive thicknesses and types of carbon itself. Aerodynamics is the most important thing we can do to make you faster, but with the Tarmac, we added aero features without any cost to weight. Through development, areas were discovered where we could add aero for free—a new fork shape and dropped seatstays with aero tubes. The result? A Tarmac that’s approximately 30 seconds faster over 40 kilometers. The updated the geometry is based on countless Retül data points and professional rider input. This enabled us to develop a Performance Road Geometry that perfects the combination of a responsive front-end and short wheelbase, which delivers instantaneous response and optimal power transfer.
With seven wins at Paris-Roubaix, our Roubaix has proven that Smoother is Faster. Until this moment, however, smooth has admittedly come with some compromises. But not anymore. The all-new Roubaix now delivers compliance without compromise by introducing a radical new Future Shock 1.5 that gives you more control on rough roads, a new Pave seatpost that creates our most balanced Roubaix to date, aerodynamics that equal the Tarmac, and a Rider-First Engineered frame that's shed some serious weight. Is it still comfortable? Sure, but don't call it a comfort bike, because performance was behind every engineering decision we made. This is the new Roubaix. This Roubaix provides a tremendous value, but like the frame itself, this value doesn't come with any compromises. We spec'd it with Shimano's Tiagra 10-speed group for its crisp shifts and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, as well as reliable Axis Elite Disc wheels, a Praxis Alba crankset, the all-new S-Works Pave seatpost, 32mm RoadSport tires, and our fan-favorite Power Sport saddle. - The new frame delivers compliance without compromise via the perfect balance of aerodynamics, light overall weight via a FACT 10r carbon construction, compliance, and Rider-First Engineering. With tube shapes that were born in our FreeFoil Shape Library and validated in the Win Tunnel, the new Roubaix is more aero than the Tarmac SL6. Meanwhile, to ensure the weight and ride quality, we turned to a Rider-First Engineered design to deliver optimal stiffness and compliance across all sizes, from 44 to 64cm. Of course, the frame has shed some serious weight in the process. And to prep you for your own Hell of the North, we've made room for 33mm tires. - To go along with the new frame, we've also developed a totally-new S-Works Pave seatpost. Not only is it the first compliant seatpost that's also aerodynamic, it does so without any additional weight or finicky contraptions. Starting with the same D-shape design found on the Tarmac, we took its compliance a step further by building additional flex into the upper and developing a new drop-clamp design in the frame. This provides plenty of compliance, while staying perfectly balanced with the front-end, so you get a smooth, balanced ride no matter how rough the road. - With 20mm of rough-road-taming travel, the Future Shock 1.5 not only delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but it also reduces fatigue and increases speed over harsh terrain. The new Smooth Boot, meanwhile, enhances the aesthetics to bring a clean transition from the head tube to the stem
When we developed the Tarmac, we didn't just want it to be fast. We wanted it to be fast everywhere. Long climbs, windy flats, Grand Tour stages, local fondos—we built a race bike to be the most complete out there. How'd we do it? We started with our Rider-First Engineered frame with a perfectly-tuned ride quality for every size, added in some serious aero tech that makes it 30 seconds faster than the Tarmac SL5 over 40 kilometers, and then made it 20% lighter. Nothing is lighter, faster, and better handling. This Tarmac comes with a reliable spec that includes 10-speed Shimano Tiagra mechanical shifting, quick-stopping hydraulic disc brakes, durable Axis Sport Disc wheels, and our fan-favorite Power saddle. - 500 pieces creating 7 different sizes with the same tuned ride that's Rider-First Engineered.
